He was born on February 9, 1938, in the village of Kyzyl-Yar of Bavli district of the Tatar ASSR.
His family was large - six children were brought up by one mother since his father was killed at the front in 1942.
He had no opportunity to receive a good education in the difficult post-war years.
In 1954, after finishing the 8th grade at the age of 16 he left for the district centre and got a job as a fitter in the communications office of "Tatneft" association. Three years later he became a high-skilled electrician.
In 1957 he was conscripted into the Soviet Army where he was enrolled in the school of aviation where air gunners and radio pilots were trained.
He also enrols in a sports section, where he begins training in athletics. In this area, he achieves excellent results. However, while exercising, he falls badly on his back and finds himself permanently bedridden.
This is where he first tries his hand at poetry. While in the hospital, he finishes high school.
1958-2011, is bedridden.
1964-70 studied at Kazan University by correspondence and successfully graduated from it.
Died after a long illness on December 9, 2011, in Kazan in the 74th year of life. Buried at the Tatar cemetery in the Novo-Tatarskaya sloboda of Kazan.
