He was born on December 27, 1908 (January 9, 1909) in the village of Aitovo (now Bizhbulyaksky district of the Bashkortostan Republic).
Here he received an elementary education, and in 1922 he entered the Belebey pedagogical technical school. Then he studied at the Kazan land surveying technical school, cooperated with the republican newspapers and magazines, worked in the children's and youth literature department of Tatizdat. Karim lived in Kazan from 1931 to 1941 in the house on Chernyshevsky street 21 (now Kremlin street).
Participant of the Great Patriotic War. On January 17, 1945, a junior lieutenant Fatih Valevich Karimov was appointed commander of a sapper platoon 226th separate sapper battalion 144th rifle division of the 65th rifle corps of the 5th Army of the 3rd Belorussian Front.
He was killed on February 19, 1945, when fulfilling a combat mission on the outskirts of Konigsberg - in the settlement Pobeda (nowadays - Kaliningrad region).
He was buried in the common grave of Bagrationovsk, Kaliningrad region.
