Gabdulla Akhmetvalievich Karimov was born in 1901 in the village of Aet, Bashkortostan, in the family of a mullah. He was a poet and participant in the Civil War. He is the brother of F.Karim. He took the pseudonym Yarly (Bashkir - poor) by analogy with the pseudonym of D. Poor, with whom he was friends. Yarly Karim's poems "Communist", "Мин ҡайттым" ("I came back"), "Минең илһамым" ("My inspiration") and others imbued with revolutionary pathos and new ideology were published in the periodical press. Most of his works were lost during the Civil War. He was the first to translate the "International" into the Bashkir language (1920).
