Kavi Gibyatovich Nezhmetdinov was born on December 15, 1901, in the village of Krasny Ostrov, Petryakovsky district, Gorky region, into a poor peasant family.
Najmi is a broad-spectrum, versatile writer. He penned not only poetic works but also numerous stories, stories and journalistic articles. Among them are works dedicated to the heroics of the Civil War. At the beginning of his literary career, K. Najmi experienced some influence of futurism and imagism.
During the Great Patriotic War, the writer's poetic activity increased. He creates poems and poems reflecting the heroism of the Soviet people.
On March 24, 1957, Kavi Najmi died suddenly. Tatar Soviet literature suffered a bereavement with the death of this outstanding writer of multinational Soviet literature.
