Michael O. Tunnell (born 1950) is an American children's writer and educator. He is a teacher of children's literature at Brigham Young University (BYU). He has published several books on children's literature, especially on the work of Lloyd Alexander. Tunnell is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).
