Catherine Elizabeth Grenville AO (born 14 October 1950) is an Australian author. She has published fifteen books, including fiction, non-fiction, biography, and books about the writing process.
Her books have been awarded many prizes in Australia, as well as the Commonwealth Writers' Prize, and Britain's Orange Prize. The Secret River was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
Her novels have been published all over the world and been translated into many languages. Three have been adapted into feature films.
